Paul Pogba Paul Pogba spotted in Manchester launderette wearing United shirt ahead of £110million move

Paul Pogba's world record move to Manchester United appears to have finally been confirmed... by the club's launderette workers.
The Frenchman, who will cost the Old Trafford club a £90million transfer fee and a further £20million in agent fees, was in Manchester today for his medical.
Boss Jose Mourinho expects the tests to be a formality and is due to meet the France star tomorrow ahead of his unveiling.
But three workers at a local launderette beat the Portuguese to it after Pogba wandered into their place of work.
The 23-year-old posed for a picture with the workers while wearing United's 2016/17 training kit

Muhammad Ali, 'The Greatest of All Time', Dead at 74

Muhammad Ali, the silver-tongued boxer and civil rights champion who famously proclaimed himself "The Greatest" and then spent a lifetime living up to the billing, is dead.

Ali died Friday at a Phoenix-area hospital, where he had spent the past few days being treated for respiratory complications, a family spokesman confirmed. He was 74.

"After a 32-year battle with Parkinson's disease, Muhammad Ali has passed away at the age of 74. The three-time World Heavyweight Champion boxer died this morning.
Ali had suffered for three decades from Parkinson's, a progressive neurological condition that slowly robbed him of both his legendary verbal grace and his physical dexterity. A funeral service is planned in his hometown of Louisville, Kentucky.

His daughter Rasheda said early Saturday that the legend was "no longer suffering," describing him as "daddy, my best friend and hero" as well as "the greatest man that ever lived."

Even as his health declined, Ali did not shy from politics or controversy, releasing a statement in December criticizing Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump's proposal to ban Muslims from entering the United States. "We as Muslims have to stand up to those who use Islam to advance their own personal agenda," he said.

The remark bookended the life of a man who burst into the national consciousness in the early 1960s, when as a young heavyweight champion he converted to Islam and refused to serve in the Vietnam War, and became an emblem of strength, eloquence, conscience and courage. Ali was an anti-establishment showman who transcended borders and barriers, race and religion. His fights against other men became spectacles, but he embodied much greater battles.

Drake Debuted Verses On Three Songs By Artists You’ve Probably Never Heard Of

Drake’s Beats 1 Radio show looks like it’s going to be a win for all of us, even if you don’t have Apple Connect. On the first episode alone, which aired over the weekend, he debuted three new tracks that he appears on.
And, in classic Drake fashion, they’re by artists that mainstream music listeners have probably never heard of: There’s “Ojuelegba (Remix),” with Nigeria native Wizkid and the U.K.’s Skepta; “Sweeterman (Remix),” where he takes on Toronto native Ramriddlz’s track; and “Drama,” with Roy Wood$.
He’s done this before, of course. Future, Migos and ILOVEMAKONNEN were all buzzing digitally and locally, but not the nationally known acts they’ve become, when Aubrey hopped on “Tony Montana,” “Versace” and “Tuesday,” respectively.
Each of his new tracks offer something a bit different from one another.
“Ojuelegba (Remix)”

The most boastful of the bunch, this verse is also the only one that’s strictly rapped. “It’s gon’ be a long long time ’fore we stop/ Boy better know, they better know who make the scene pop/ All I ever needed was a chance to get the team hot,” he oozes.
“Sweeterman (Remix)”

Drizzy takes the reigns on this one on his own, singing his way through a catchy and explicit R&B jam: “She say I’m a sweeterman/ But she say that she don’t need a man/ I say, ’Why don’t we make an agreement, then’/ ’We can just f–k while we’re being friends,'” he propositions.
“Drama”

Using his singy-rap flow here, Drake kicks a quick verse that dees into sweet spot of lady-influenced rhyming: “Every lost girl I know is over 26/ Every lost girl I know is just too afraid to admit it.”
Hopefully there’s even more new music on next week’s show.

BUHARI FINALY SPEAKS:

“Fellow Nigerians, People
accuse me of many things. But
one thing they never accuse me
of is corruption. They never
accuse me of mediocrity, or of
lying. People accuse me of many
things. I have led this country
and I have a record. We were not
perfect, but we were effective;
we solved problems, and we
made Nigerians proud. In our
government, we fought
corruption, we stabilized the
Naira, and we shut down
insurgency. We shouldn’t forget
so soon that there was the
Maitatsine ravaging the North
east and we dealt with it. We also
overran the Chadian rebels.We
rebuilt industries, Nigerians
queued up and treated each
other with respect; Nigerians
took pride in our reputation for
discipline.
The world admired us. We were
proud to be Nigerians. However,
because they can’t attack our
record, they accuse me falsely of
ethnic jingoism; they accuse me
falsely of religious
fundamentalism. Because they
cannot attack our record, they
accuse us falsely of calling for
election violence – when we have
only insisted on peace. Even as
Head of State, we never imposed
Shariah. All my running mates
have been either Igbo or Yoruba
and are always devout Christian
of indisputable repute. I have
and will continue to condemn
those who burn God’s places of
worship, be they churches or
mosques and wish God’s
judgment upon them. As your
President, their punishment
won’t stop there, we will also
ensure Boko Haram and other
such elements, are found, are
arres.

Abdulsalami, Sultan, others meet Jonathan, insist on credible, peaceful polls

with President Goodluck Jonathan in Abuja.
Members of the committee in attendance
included the Sultan of Sokoto Alhaji Muhammad
Sa’ad Abubakar, John Cardinal Onaiyekan,
Commodore Ebitu Ukiwe, Primate Church of
Nigeria Anglican Communion Most Rev. Nicholas
Okoh, Bishop Mathew Hassan Kukah, among
others.
Addressing State House journalists, Abubakar
said his committee was trying to get
commitments to ensure that all politicians and
their followers, allow the elections to be free,
fair and peaceful.
He said his committee visited Jonathan to tell
him the role expected of him as the
Commander-in-Chief of the country and as a
contestant in Saturday’s presidential election.
He said the committee would also later
yesterday or today meet with the presidential
candidate of the opposition All Progressives
Congress (APC), General Muhammadu Buhari
(rtd), to get a similar commitment from him.
Asked whether he was comfortable with the
current political atmosphere in the country, the
former head of state bemoaned campaigns of
calumny which, he said, had pervaded the pre-
election stage.
He said his committee had talked to all
contestants and leaders of political parties to
stop their supporters and campaign committees
from personalising the elections.
According to Abubakar, the politicians should
stop insulting one another and shun politics of
bitterness.
Surely if government like the election to be
credible, violence free, definitely it would be. I
think 3 things from the government side are
required. One, INEC should be allowed to exercise
their duty without any interruption. Two, the
electorate should be allowed to exercise their
civic right and make sure their vote count.
Three, government should also respect the
outcome of the election and handover the power
to the winner. If the above mentions points are
considered surely the election would be violence
free and credible.

We will accept outcome of “free, fair and credible elections” — Buhari, Jonathan

A first-half goal by Olivier Giroud and then Aaron Ramsey 11 minutes from time gave the Gunners hope but desperate defending by Monaco saw them hold on to reach the quarter-finals in front of a for once packed stadium which included celebrities such as U2 front man Bono.

Nigerian election: Muhammadu Buhari pledges to defeat Boko Haram Leading challenger to Goodluck Jonathan claims president spent money on politics leaving military under-resourced

All Progressives Congress presidential candidate Muhammadu Buhari raises his hand during a campaign rally in the north-east city of Maiduguri earlier in February.

The leading challenger for the Nigerian presidency, Muhammadu Buhari, has vowed to defeat Boko Haram insurgents in the north of the country by providing government forces with better equipment, more training and more accurate intelligence.
Buhari, a former military leader, said if the government of President Goodluck Jonathan had deployed the same resources to fighting Boko Haram as it had to political ends, the army would have rescued the more than 270 schoolgirls abducted by the extremist movement in Chibok last April.
